As a team of three, we pour our hearts into every aspect of Veramint. We understand the importance of creating a personal connection with our customers, and we aim to cultivate a community of mint tea enthusiasts. We plan to make your experience with us supportive and memorable, whether you want to try unique blends or simply love the classic taste of mint grown with care.
Brand & Product Creator - “Having previously worked with a small herb company, I understand how important it is to focus not only on the quality of the product, but also on the people who enjoy it. I've always had a love for plants (especially mint) and that's what inspired me to combine my hobby with my background in catering and design to grow Veramint into a fun and purpose-driven brand.”
How it started
Veramint began life as a simple gardening blog, with a particular focus on growing mint (which is obviously the greatest herb). However, it quickly evolved into a place where our passion for cultivating unique mint varieties could blend with our natural British love of tea. While there's a refreshing simplicity to plain mint teas, we noticed that there weren't many different options available, and few used varieties outside of the common classics. That's why we set out to develop new blends that have a delicate yet nuanced taste.
Behind the scenes
Preparing our mint is a careful, hands-on process. The mint is cultivated outdoors in organic, nutrient-rich soil, using natural pest control and only minimal, food-safe organic treatments when absolutely necessary. Fresh growth is hand-harvested, cleaned in filtered water, and air-dried before being placed in a dehydrator to preserve flavour and colour. Flowers are also removed to avoid cross-pollination, so that each variety keeps its unique characteristics.
All processing takes place in a clean, dedicated space. At the end of the growing season, a final harvest is carefully dried and stored in cool, dark conditions to maintain freshness, allowing us to continue crafting our blends until the next spring growth arrives. We also carefully source high-quality additional ingredients, storing them properly to maintain their quality. All blends carry a 6-month use-by date to ensure the best experience.
